6TH ANNUAL CHIROPRACTIC WITH A HEART

ELANCO Chiropractic's 6th annual fundraiser for the Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services was a great success! Patients received a free adjustment, refreshments, door prizes and giveaways in exchange for a donation to SVPS. We raised over $700 and an overflowing amount of clothes and other baby supplies! Thanks to those that participated!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD 2011

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. This program of Samaritan's Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus Christ

How can you help? Fill any size shoebox, plastic (preferred) or cardboard, with new toys, school supplies, and other essentials. Please include the shipping charge for every box received. ($7.00/box)

When? Shoebox Collection is November 1st - November 17th at ELANCO

5TH ANNUAL CHIROPRACTIC WITH A HEART

The 5th Annual ELANCO Chiropractic With A Heart was a huge success. ELANCO provided complimentary care to 177 patients and collected $881.00 for Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services. The patients enjoyed food prepared by Village Farm Market and were treated to raffles provided by Martin’s Trailside, Garden Spot Village, Martin’s Flooring, ELANCO, and The New Holland Recreation Center.

NEW HOLLAND RECREATION CENTER'S FARMERS 5K

ELANCO Chiropractic is sponsoring the New Holland Recreation Center's Sixth Annual Farmers 5K on Saturday, April 17th. The race begins at 8:30AM. There will be cash awards for the top 3 winners of each age group. Age groups are as follows: 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Cash awards are: 1st place - $100, 2nd place - $75, and 3rd place - $50.

FLU SEASON WELLNESS PLAN
SHOULD INCLUDE CHIROPRACTIC CARE

The World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA) is recommending that people of all ages add chiropractic to their strategy for warding off and fighting the flu and its effects this season. Spinal adjustments can have a positive effect on immune function. Chiropractic corrects spinal abnormalities called vertebral subluxations that result in interference of the nervous system by placing pressure on nerves. Since the nervous system controls all functions of the body including the immune system chiropractic care can have a positive effect on immune function. NEW DOCTOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Dr. John Cavallo recently joined the staff of ELANCO Chiropractic, Inc. Dr. Cavallo is originally from Easton, Pennsylvania and attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri, receiving the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, with additional diplomat in Rehabiliation. The addition of Dr. Cavallo will provide current and new patients with more opportunities to aid in their recovery process. ELANCO Chiropractic raises $1,500 for SVPS

Through the generosity of Ephrata area's ELANCO Chiropractic, and their patients, a check for $1500 as well as a Pack 'n' Play full of baby supplies were recently presented to Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services.

On February 13, ELANCO hosted its third annually "Chiropractic with a Heart" event, providing complimentary services to 164 patients in exchange for a donation to the Christian pregnancy resource center.

Food for the event was donated by The Village Farm Market and C.R. Barn & Grill, and the following businesses donated raffle prizes: Dairy Queen of Ephrata, Celebrations!, Certified Carpet, and Ten Thousand Villages.

GIFTS SENT TO HOMELESS CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD

ELANCO Chiropractic teamed up with Blue Ridge Cable in 2008 for the 4th year in support of Operation Christmas Child. This hands-on project supported by Samaritan’s Purse is an international relief effort to provide homeless children around the world with a “gift-filled” shoebox during the Christmas season. This year ELANCO, with the support of their patients and community, collected a total of 128 shoeboxes. In total the Akron Church of the Brethren official collection site collected 12,373 shoeboxes, which equaled 900 cartons and filled a 28ft and 48ft trailer. WOW! The ELANCO team volunteered a total of 12 man hours at the collection site preparing the donations for shipment. We are very grateful that Operation Christmas Child offers us this opportunity to serve others across the globe.

OPEN HOUSE ANNOUNCEMENT

ELANCO Chiropractic celebrated its 5th Anniversary on October 13, 2007. The newly renovated office, showcasing a brand new reception area, was opened to the general public for a "Day of Family Fun." For those who missed it, we treated our visitors to soft pretzels prepared by Dutch County Concessions and incredible ice cream from the Udder Choice. The children had a host of games to play and the ever popular bouncy houses got a work out. We also raffled some awesome gifts, including a hot air balloon ride for two, and portrait studio sitting and sent everyone home with various door prizes.
